About

I'm Lakshay Sangwan, a Product Engineer at Digiicampus based in Hisar, India. I've spent the last ~5 years building multi-tenant platform infrastructure — Java, Spring Boot, AWS, MySQL, Redis, and the usual supporting cast — with enough end-to-end ownership that the work spans infrastructure, architecture, security, and feature development.

Outside of work I build small things. A privacy-first PDF toolkit, a habit tracker on Cloudflare's edge stack, a Lambda that emails me when Barcelona match replays show up. Tools that scratch a specific itch and then mostly stay running because they're simple enough not to break.

Product Engineer 2

  • Architected a federation hub for cross-tenant account linking using union-find transitive closure and HMAC-signed JWTs.
  • Designed a selfie-based attendance system with server-side geofencing and multi-layer timezone resolution.
  • Implemented FF1 format-preserving encryption for platform-wide ID obfuscation — zero schema changes.
  • Led AWS infrastructure optimization: audited 15+ ElastiCache clusters, upgraded Redis 6.2.6 → 7.1.0, right-sized instances, and cleaned up CloudFront distributions — $3,400+/year in savings.
  • Owned the Staff Attendance module end-to-end, replacing day-old Athena batch reports with real-time ElasticSearch sync.
  • Built reusable platform components adopted org-wide: global exception-handling advices, test frameworks for services and MySQL stored procedures, and centralized obfuscation utilities.
  • Shipped a Digital Student Passport with QR verification and a Support Help Centre with FAQ search.

Software Engineer

  • Built core verification microservices for PAN and Aadhaar checks — critical dependencies for the company's flagship background verification product, processing high-volume identity checks.
  • Designed an automated data inflow system for the operations team that cut developer intervention to zero, increased web scraping throughput 5×, and moved compute requirements from enterprise servers down to consumer-grade hardware.
  • Built internal tools for data extraction, validation pipelines, and batch processing workflows.
